I had mentioned this back in May… How I predicted that the second half of 2007, we were going to see the fall of the first major newspaper to some other kind of medium – web, electronic, whatever. It got a ton of trackbacks, and a lot of people said one of two things: "You’re right," or "You’re an idiot." Well, I’m not declaring victory just yet, but the cards seem to be falling into the deck at quite pleasing right angles. How’s this for an example? NY Times Posts 52% drop in profits, executive to "rein in costs" and "increase revenues." (via Smart Money.) I’m just sayin. That’s all. I’m just sayin.
