So it’s that time again. Time to make some resolutions that we all know we’re not going to keep, yet we do it anyway. Kind of like how we say, "No, I really don’t want another Vodka and Tonic, thanks," and then vaguely remember saying it as we’re walking home singing "I Love the Nightlife" at the top of our lungs. To all those who mocked me when I bought my Segway back in April of 03… May I just please say… Due to the transit strike… HA, HA! 

Fine. I admit it. I was wrong. NYC is now shut down. And it’s gonna suck. I SO hate being wrong. Good luck, everyone. Gotta love listening to Ken Sunshine, though, as he mouthpieces for the transit workers union. (PR Week, Subscription)

Personally, I STILL don’t think there will be a NYC transit strike. People are smarter than that, I believe. That said, you know, New York City isn’t that big of a place. Why can’t everyone just walk? We’re already a thin state because we walk so much – what’s a few extra miles? It’s 20 blocks to a mile, right? OK – So if you live on 93rd St. (I don’t know why you would, but whatever) and your office is on 48th St., you’re looking at less than 2.5 miles. Assuming you’re  one of those New Yorkers I see next to me on the treadmill at NYSC, you can EASILY walk 2.5 miles. Hell, the sneakers with female business [...]
