Damn you, Nikon, for making yet another camera so beautiful, so sexy, that I’d give my small intestine to own it. Wow. With wi-fi to transfer the photos to a laptop without wires, and automatically as you’re shooting… Mmm… Looks like I’m going to have to sell My D1x (and my spleen) and buy one. Probably too heavy for a helmet-cam. Or is it? Doesn’t matter. I’d shoot with this baby until my fingers fell off. Y’all do know I have a degree or two in fashion photography and photojournalism, right? And I also have lots of friends who don’t mind spending their Saturdays posing for me. It’s also good to have a cat who knows she won’t get fed [...]

Anyone who knows me knows my hatred of chain fast food… Except when I’m on the road. On the road, I permit myself one gross, fattening, disgusting fast food meal, with the serenity that when I get back to NYC, I’ll do an extra lap around the park to make up for it. NYC, unfortunately, doesn’t have a Hardees. So my delight as I [...]

These are the types of photos that people with camera phones will keep taking. They will then go on blogs, get linked, and in the long run, hurt corporations. This one is titled… McDonald’s… Where cleanliness is job… Something or other.

Interesting – notice how the photo shot with the VZ phone darkened out the image of the SPRINT store to the left/bottom, but the Sprint phone got it? I smell conspiracy. :)

So my VZ 8100 vs my new Sprint A920. Took them out last night and took identical photos. First thing I noticed… Sprint’s system doesn’t let you simply email the photos like VZ does. With Sprint, the pictures are sent as links via email, directing the user to a website. This gets annoying, as if I’m sending to another mobile device (a blackberry, etc.) that’s not a phone, they can’t just download and view the photo, they have to go to the site. I tried sending a photo from the Sprint phone to my sidekick, and it sent a link that required I log on. Once I did, I still couldn’t get to it. Had to wait to come home [...]
