Publicists: BEWARE OF STRAY DESSERTS!!

From PopBitch…
Publicist’s statement of the week:
Paris Hilton’s PR Elliot Mintz, when asked about the white substance spotted in Paris’ nostrils at a New York restaurant. "I can tell you Paris does not use narcotics. I would imagine it’s something like whipped cream or a sugary substance from dessert, something that naturally might have found […]

A truly spectacular presentation

Eva Ng, the Planning Director at BBDO and Proximity, gave a truly spectacular presentation this morning on "Marketing to 21st Century Humans." I’m going to try and find a copy of it and put it up here for download. It was spectacular! Kudos to Eva.

Go Jazz-man Dad…

For those who don’t know, my father is a Grammy-nominated Jazz musician. And an amazing one, at that.

The Death of the Doodle

With Wi-Fi at this conference, I pronounce (with kudos to my friend Coral for coming up with the term) the absolute "Death of the Doodle."
It’s no longer about drawing 3-D boxes or stick figures. It’s IM’ing, texting, browsing, while half-listening.
Welcome to the new world.

Conferencing….

What’s cool, though, is that someone came up to me who I’ve never met and said, "Hey, I bought your book! I really liked it!"
That made me totally, totally smile.
I speak later, and tomorrow. Here’s someone else speaking. Fionn Hyndman, of dgmAustralia.

“So many adventures couldn’t happen todaySo many songs we forgot to playSo many dreams swinging out of the blueWe’ll let them come true"
Forgive the schmaltz. There’s going to be a fairly decent amount of it. So if it’s not your cup of Congee Noodles today, I recommend going to visit Defamer or IJC or something.
