Every year, the Fire Island Pines have a summer "Anthem" song, that’s played at Tea, and at all the clubs around the Pines. The dancing is amazing. And fun. And incredibly Gay. Which makes it just that much MORE fun. In ’02, it was Cher’s "Song for the Lonely," and in ’03, ATB’s "I Don’t Wanna Stop" was huge. I was dating someone at the time whose parents had the 2nd largest house in the Pines, so it reaffirmed my love of dance music. So about a week ago, a song was put into my head by someone I’ll affectionately call Satan. Since then, I’ve asked about a dozen or so people if they know it. Because even though EVERYONE knows the chorus, NO ONE knows what the hell the damn song is. So I’m going to attempt to find out. I’m going to post me singing the chorus here. If someone knows it, please tell me. If you don’t, tell your friends. If they don’t, have them tell their friends. Because, my friends… This is gonna freaking KILL ME until I find out. Help.
