PETER SHANKMAN

I want to work for this company. This is NOT safe for work. Do NOT click if you’re at an office that monitors you. But – it’s a real website. For real products. That you can buy. My God, this is brilliant. Elave Beauty Products. http://www.nothing-to-hide.co.uk/ I really, really want to do their PR.

Got this email this morning from a friend. Interested? Talented? Send me your resume – I’ll forward. You get to work with her, and she’s exceptionally cool – but you also get to work on REALLY fun accounts. And because it’s a big agency, you get good backing, and get to pitch big corporate accounts. If I ever went to another agency, I’d work with her. Have fun… Send me your resumes. But be intelligent. Seriously. peter <a-t> shankman.com Oh, and forward to whomever you think should see this. Shankman-Do you know /have any friends or contacts who are VP or SVPs in tech PR?  We have a few tech openings at _______ in case your friends are interested, I [...]

Either the CEO of Whole Foods, John Mackey, is following my Twitter Posts, or this is the best practical joke I’ve ever received via email… Hi, Peter Shankman. rahodeb (rahodeb) is now following your updates on Twitter. Check out rahodeb’s profile here: http://twitter.com/rahodeb You may add rahodeb back by clicking on the "add" link. Best, Twitter That is SO cool.

But for whatever reason, they chose to advertise their new flavor, called WTF with ads that make no sense at all. Or, in other words, leave you going "WTF?" Not entirely safe for work. OK then. And Thanks RB for the heads up.

I used to have a friend who talked very loudly. No matter what she was talking about, she said it loudly. This wasn’t a bad thing, most of the time, as she was very likable, and people tended to accept that quirk about her. Oh, that’s just ___, they’d say. She just… talks loudly. One day, I was hanging out with her, and I saw a sign – I think we were in a library or something. The sign said, simply, "Embrace the Silence." I pointed it out to her, and she said (loudly) that she didn’t get it. I didn’t press the issue. I’ve changed that phrase somewhat today. Embrace the Anger. It wasn’t one thing, specifically. It really [...]
