Got a nice plug this week on That Marketing Show, an Internet Podcast all about gardening and home protection. I’m joking. It’s about Marketing. Duh. I may or may not have called most publicists idiots. But I’ve done that on this blog, too. So no worries. Listen here.

Thanks to KS for the info… I suppose they’re "Grants," even though they’re not "money," per se. Either way, nice thing for them to do. Subject: PR Grants for Not-for-Profits CyberAlert, Inc. will again award annual PR Grants to not-for-profit organizations for 2008. An oldie, but a goodie around this time of year. Indiana University’s Acapella Group, Straight, No Chaser, does a very funny rendition of "The 12 Days of Christmas. Thanks to AL’s mom for forwarding it on.

One of the best ways of curing a moderately crappy day (or a moderately crappy few minutes) is to visit "Overheard in New York." If you haven’t tried it, I can’t recommend it enough. One of today’s submissions that made me laugh out loud: Man #1: It seems my first wife put my name down on a job application as a reference. Man #2: Oh, yeah? How do you know? Man #1: Somebody called me yesterday and asked, ‘Can you tell us something about her?’ Man #2: What did you say? Man #1: I said, ‘She can’t cook and she’s lousy in bed! As long as the job don’t require that, I guess she’d be good.’ Man #2: What an [...]
