Check this photo out – Click on it to make it larger. At Thompson and Company, a Communications and Marketing firm in Memphis, TN, the task to their employees this Halloween was simple: Dress as your favorite Brand Icon, then try and guess who everyone represents. Brilliant. How many can you get? This in no way diminishes the amount of babies as firemen, spacemen, The Jokers, witches, cross dressers, Sarah Palins, John McCains, and Amy Winehouses that tons of other HARO members dressed up as on this fine Friday. Well done all. :) (Including a very scary The Joker from my Attorney, of all people.) Happy Halloween from Meagan and myself, and of course, the kitties. (NASA was camera shy [...]

This was a treat – Thanks to Graham Gillette, at Gillette Strategic Resources, and a bunch of other truly amazing HARO family members, I was able to spend 20 minutes yesterday doing a Buy Peter a Sandwich interview with Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, discussing everything from social media to the digital divide to stealing ideas from Mayor Bloomberg. Thanks to all who helped set it up, and of course, thanks to Mayor Rybak! (By this time, Karma and NASA aren’t even reacting to the doorbell anymore.) This time, he’s got five six cans of Pepsi, (full) with the new look of Pepsi, and a letter explaining that Pepsi is reaching out to me and handful of other “digital and social influencers” regarding a “multiyear, company-wide transformation.” It also tells me that I’m one of 25 people to see [...]

A few months ago, I was in South Carolina, and I was driving from Greensboro to Myrtle Beach. I pulled into a Hardee’s parking lot somewhere in between the two cities to do the evening HARO. In the HARO, I mentioned where I was. The next morning, I got an email from the wonderful Jenna Petroff, PR Manager for Hardee’s Food Systems, thanking me for the shout-out, and asking for an address to send me some coupons. Sweet! Only problem for me – The closest Hardee’s to me in NYC is in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. Way too far to travel for a simple Hamburger, right? Well… Maybe not… And then, hey, the Thickburger ain’t no simple Hamburger. Road Trip! Got into [...]
