So I’m on a Delta flight to MSY this morning, a departure (no pun intended) from my usual Continental allegiance. Was the only flight I could get. I’m trying their WiFi in the Sky service, $9.95 per shot, or a pre-purchased pass. Service quality so far is excellent, no complaints. Thanks to GoGoInFlight.com – Great service, hideously chosen name. Anyhow… I’m not sure if I like it. Here’s why. My normal routine on a plane: Blow through 400 emails, make a dent in my inbox. Every time I go on a business trip and mention it in HARO, (read: almost daily) I get questions about how I survive traveling as much as I do. Good questions, too, since this year alone, it’s looking like I’ll join the very exclusive sad “400,000 actual miles flown” club. Questions range from “How are you getting the HARO out from a forest?” to “How can you actually get work done on those crappy seats on a plane?” to “What are you using to shoot the WHOH?” and tons of others, relating to all aspects of travel. First stop was dinner with HP on Monday night in San Francisco at Town Hall Restaurant. Tuesday, I headed to Kansas City to keynote the PRSA Travel and Tourism annual conference Wednesday morning. I was also apparently “Called out” about my predictions during Peter Greenburg’s lunch speech. Debate, Peter? Name the time. Could be the Battle of the Peters. Heh.
