PETER SHANKMAN

God, Winter sucks – You sit there, it’s too cold to work out, it’s kind of your “off-season” from running and training. What happens?
You do your first few jumps in the spring, and realize that your skydiving has become more like “burning through the atmosphere like Skylab plummeting back to earth.”
So you do a coach jump, and feel a little bit better.
And VOW to lose some weight.
Remember: The camera is in my helmet – the person I’m filming is the coach – not me. I’m the one who shouts after the parachute opens.

Your title should read “Peter Shankman, CEO, Entrepreneur, Madman”! Good heavens, what a crazy thing to do! Mind you, you looked incredibly alive and happy. Enjoy! |

Awesome….I had the opportunity to jump once (tandem) at the Jersey shore(Allaire) and I got to look North and see the NY sky-line before it was destroyed, and out to the Atlantic Ocean…..Amazing experience. Have Fun! |

This looks very cool albeit scary for us landlubbers. You said there were two horrible jumps, Peter. What defines a horrible jump? I’d think it was one where you didn’t land. |

rickey — I’d think a jump “where you didn’t land” would be fantastic! Imagine, three days later, and you’re STILL up in the air? That doesn’t sound so horrible. (Heh.) |
