A mantra
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as 5.1432 mile lower loop: 50:12. 9:45 pace training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.
I will get faster as the season progresses. This was my first true training run.

Peter, that’s not so bad! There are runners out here a lot slower than you. I run so slowly that race walkers whiz by me — but that’s okay. I’d rather be out there running my way (aka SLOWLY) than not at all, or injure myself and be out of the game for weeks/months. Running is a metaphor for life — no need to race through it all at top speed! But yes, setting goals to increase speed/distance is a good thing.
