Anyone notice that Cardinal Edward Egan has been going on a bit of a PR rampage of late? I mean, a lot of the press comes because of his mandatory resignation now that he’s turned 75, but still… NY Times this morning, then opening up the Stock Market this morning, as well?

He’s sort of like the Bloomberg of the Catholic Church… Paring down the church’s $20m deficit, shutting down churches to save money… Gotta wonder if he’ll be asked to stay on?
