Sigh, indeed. I feel your pain. 2009 is going to have to be my NYC Marathon year, as my wife and I are expecting baby number four at the same time. The others are 5, 4 and 2. Probably better off waiting until next year anyway, as I’ve had a nagging groin injury. Hmmm, I just realized there might be a connection…:) At least we can bypass the lottery, right.
BTW, great job with HARO. It’s awesome for us little guys without a huge budget.

At least you’ll be alive on Nov. 3. Lord knows I’d be comatose after running that much.

I don’t get it. If YOU canceled, what’s the sigh for?
But on a positive note….sounds like a great excuse to come back to Seattle and run in the June 2009 Rock N Roll Marathon! And just think you’ll have burned off an unholy amount of carbs and can so justify the beer at Pike Pub & Brewing Co afterwards!
First time to this site. I’m sure you had a good reason to cancel this time. I just got a confirmation of my intent to run the Seattle 1/2 Marathon. Guess I gotta do it now…just like Nike says. I agree with Meilee…my friend is trying to get me to do the 2009 Rock n Roll Marathon in Seattle…EEk!

Running is over-rated anyway (especially a distance like that).
