CNN Crosses the line from Journalism to DISGUSTING

One of Anderson Cooper’s Reporters, Rick Sanchez, in Oregon to see what James Kim might have done differently. And of course, get a show out of it.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Crossing the line, guys. Tacky and disgusting.

There are TONS of shows out there that show this. You’re doing this for RATINGS, and it SICKENS me. The man JUST DIED. His family JUST got rescued, and they are now going to mourn their husband and father. Can you show some freaking DECENCY? This isn’t taking on the government during Katrina, guys. This is a family. And even moreso, James belonged to a bigger family – the media family. Of which you’re both a part.

Over the line. Not cool at all.

I agree, no class at all!!

Sad to hear really, cos I love
Anderson Cooper

The media seriously needs to start behaving as though this was happening to their own family and or someone close to them…..

Do unto others people.
It comes backs to you.
Professional or not.

It’s not too rare for people to get stranded (esp. during any blizzard). Doesn’t happen every day, but it’s not rare. The only reason CNN is focusing on the Kims’ trouble is because it was such big news. That is very poor *news* judgment!

IF CNN wanted to do something of real value, it should’ve done a story about being prepared for winter weather emergencies in general — maybe referencing the Kims’ plight but nothing specific to what they experienced. Information like we should have an emergency kit in our autos (bet very few of us do), what the kit should include; having one in our house/apartment; etc.

It looks like CNN is trying to make the coverage a little more even.

The pursuit of ratings is quite amazing, isn’t it?

Good morning from Asheville Regional Airport. Why yes, I DID sleep under a desk next to a potted plant here last night.
