You can do it! After reading this post and your last rants I think you're starting to sound like you again - I'm glad you're doing this.

Full Ironman. Impressive.

You reminded me of a great story about the NYC marathon. I had a friend who ran it for the first time. He started cramping as he went over the 59th St. bridge. But as he descended onto 1st Avenue at Mile 16 he was overcome by the crowds. For the next two miles up 1st he barely noticed his leg. It was like he was floating on air and buoyed by the crowds who cheered him on. Once he got into the 100's and up near Harlem the crowds thinned to zero. The cramping in his leg returned and he was forced to walk. At one point he could tell someone was yelling at him, but he couldn't make out where it was coming from. The man yelled, 'Yo - what you doin' . . . this ain't no Walk-a-thon, it's a marathon'. A few second of silence before the next barrage. 'Damn, yo . . . gets some gatorades in you or something, this ain't no Walk-a-thon'.

Kudos to you Peter . . . this ain't even no marathon, it's a ironman triathlon.

Best,
Stan
