Edelman’s Rubel out?

Valleywag calls it: "A Web Guru On His Knees."

Ouch. Will Edelman cut him loose?I’m putting down odds, if anyone’s interested.

I’m at a conference today in Chicago, and one of Edelman’s clients is here. I can tell you that they were one of the ones mentioned by Jim Louderback in his rant to Strumpette.  I’m trying to find their VP/M and get a quote or reaction.

Between this and the infamous Wal-Mart incident, Rubel is quickly becoming the Vanilla Ice of the PR World.

Collaborate and listen, indeed.

I’m going to go with a “no,” but I’m curious about your odds.

You know, he did announce in a Twitter post that he’s thinking about changing his blog’s color scheme to red. Is he telegraphing a move..?

Hi Peter,

I enjoyed your article on the Wal Mart snafu! Ha! If Sam Walton were still alive today, he would have cast a jaundiced eye over what these people have done. Just “stretching the truth” a little bit in the interest of research, perhaps? I think he would have fired somebody over this one.
