Facebook - Open Environment, remember?
Fun story here of a banking intern who had to head home for a family "emergency," until he posted photos of himself at a Halloween party on Facebook. Boss saw it, copied entire office.
Kid becomes dumbass.
Is it so hard to realize that lying, now more than ever, should be restricted to people who are really, really good at it?
Jeez.

Peter you are soooo right!
Leave the lying to people who are smart enough to cover all bases of their lie.
Where to begin?
I read all the comments regarding that issue. The comments seriously show the age & maturity, of the people who are trying to defend him. He lied. He knew it would be misread as a “family emergancy”.
FB is a public forum! FB owns everything you write, and post on their site, even after you delete the account. They still own everything in the archives. If you wouldnt say it out loud or show all your friends, dont post it, or the least you can do is change your profile to private.
He should be so lucky that his boss had a sense of humour (nice wand). I think most people wouldnt have been so fortunate.
People, if you want to take the day off to go to a party etc, or just have a day off, its simple. Just ask.
You’d seriously be surprised how many bosses are more likely to grant you that day cos you simply asked for it. Not to mention, you may want to suggest that you’ll make up the time, bank it, or make sure your work is reasonably up to date before you take that time off.
Lying is for people who are, lazy too scared of the truth, to be adult about it, or dont have any creativity left in their little brains.
Leave lying to people who can make a living out if.
Thanks for posting that Peter.
Umm…hello? And NOT mention anything about his HIGHlairious costume. Do I know you?
As if it weren’t bad enough to get an email like that and have it circulate the blogoshpere, now CNN has picked up this story.
It WAS a nice wand, though.

Its getting harder and harder to get away with stuff (not that I would know…= )).
Great post Peter on the importance of 1) Always telling the truth. 2) Thinking twice before putting up anything on the internet.
