PETER SHANKMAN

Hey Buddy, Can You Spare a Coffee Mug?

As I start to do more and more video (both online and TV – Did someone say “series?” Not me… I have no idea what you’re talking about…) I’m finding that I’m drinking more and more coffee.

It’s sort of becoming a thing with me – If I’m doing TV, I need a cup of coffee. Fine, call it an addiction, if you need to.

So… Because what’s life, if not a branding effort, do you want your company’s logo on TV with me?

Just send me a coffee mug. Each time I do a segment, be it online or on TV, I’ll be drinking a cup of coffee out of a new mug. Got a cool one for your company? Let me see it!

Send it over to me, and be sure to wrap it really, really well! Include your email address in the package if you want me to notify you when it’s being used.

Send it over to:

The Geek Factory, Inc.
ATTN: Peter Shankman
601 W. 57th St.
30-E
New York, NY 10019

Sound like a plan? And don’t worry about sending me coffee – I’m a Tassimo junkie – I’ve got more than enough coffee. Now I just need some super-cool mugs to drink it from!

Coffee!

Are you a righty or a lefty? (So we know which side to put the logo on…)

What an Awesome idea…If more guys like you thought this way more and more small business owners could get some much need exposure…I will be sending one over as soon as I get some made… Thanks, Peter.

That is sooooo freaking cool of you, Peter! A real “Do Good” on your part.

Classic Peter idea. Love it. And you would be surprised people notice that stuff. When I have my Einsteins or Starbucks or “The Oatmeal” cup/mug on my show, I always get a comment.

Fab idea Peter. Cheers!

The best part is you aren’t charging for it. Pretty great opportunity for people with eye catching logos.

Peter – FABULOUS idea (not surprised you thought of it!). One Be Good to People mug on the way…do you prefer a stainless steel tumbler since you’re always on the go, or a desktop ceramic mug?
Since you are truly a Good-doer, I want to send you one of our tees as well – what size (unisex, S-XL)? Black or white?
Thank you for sharing your cool idea. Keep up the Good work!

Peter,
Seriously!?
I will send you a mug and just to distinguish mine from the other 1.2MM you will receive, I will include a Starbucks instant coffee packet and a $1.00 bill! I am serious!
Best,
Steven

Hi, I hope this isn’t too forward but if I can help anyone with Branding some funky mugs, please shoot me an email. I’m the Idea Ambassador and can offer anyone who mentions Peter 10% off their custom mug order. Or if you just need ideas, I can help with that too. No charge, let’s brainstorm.

Thanks Peter for always putting others first.

This is an excellent example of how well promotional products work! Here’s a tip for purchasing logo mugs: ALWAYS have the logo printed on both sides. You should not have to pay extra to do this; ask for the wrap!

Coffee mugs are great free publicity–every time we went on one of the local morning news shows, we brought coffee mugs for the anchors–large, 20 oz. barrel mugs with our logo very prominently displayed. They were big hits because they were so large. At one point, we had three of the four local network morning shows using our mugs on the air. Awesome! Our website hit count went up dramatically, and the donations to our nonprofit computer donation/refurbishment program went up dramatically as a result. So good on you!

What does a coffee mug say about your business? (unless you’re in the business of coffee) Or post-it notes? Sure they have your logo on it. But a brand is more than a logo. Here are a few ideas that really connect the premium with the company and the recipient. Sure, it may not last as long as the coffee mug, but we think your clients will like it a whole lot more.

This is awesome of you to do, Peter! Watch for an MGBS Global mug to come your way. And if you are doing a segment on Green Businesses, or commercial energy conservation, it’d be awesome if you’d feature it that day/week! Happy to send whatever info you might need. Thanks and hope all is well with you!

Can we still send in a mug or are you sick of all the mugs that you received?
