Bravo to Mika, finally a real news person that takes their profession seriously.
Not just another talking head.
To whom it may concern:
This morning I was directed to a clip of your journalist Mika Brzezinski refusing to cover Paris Hilton as a lead news story. I would like to thank her for taking the time to show that there are some people in the news industry who understand the meaning of Journalistic Integrity.
If negative actions are taken against Ms. Brzezinski for her action it will only prove how far the television media has gotten from the intent of a news broadcast. I have watched as the quality of reporting has gone down for a number of years and it was heartening to see a reporter try to take back control and actually report the news.
Such pieces are not news and should not be lead stories on a news broadcast. If you wish to lead with such material please consider reformatting the show to be an entertainment news magazine and allow the actual journalists to do their job of reporting actual news.
Thank you for understanding. Mika has given me hope.

Finally someone with some brains and decency?
Mika Brzezinski refuses to open her news program with news about Paris Hilton instead of woith real news (Iraq, Afganistan, Politics, Business, etc etc, etc). It is quite refreshing, in this days where gossip and worthless people get so much attention,…
