PETA sets Olsen Twins in Crosshairs…

Have you joined my incredibly non-annoying, once-in-a-while email newsletter?

Takeaways: PETA has a “youth marketing division.” Huh.

“Trollson Twins”, “Hairy Kate and Trashley”, and “Full House of Horrors”. Hee.

One thing I’m not sure I like – “Visitors are encouraged to contact the twins’ publicist about their cruel decision to flaunt fur in public.”

Why drag the publicist into this? I seriously doubt s/he has any control over what they wear. Rest of the campaign amuses me, though.

PETA’s Youth Marketing division, peta2, has just launched a new campaign against the Olsen Twins, whose refusal to stop wearing fur and persistent promotion of the fur industry is a constant topic in the celeb gossip world. To market this new initiative, peta2 has created a “Trollsen Twins” microsite featuring a dress-up game, where you can dress up “Hairy Kate and Trashley” in bloody fur garments and send your hideous creation to friends, and a “lost episode” of Full House entitled Full House of Horrors, in which the Tanner family learn all about what hideous fur hags the twins are going to become when they grow up. Visitors to the site are encouraged to contact the twins’ publicist about their cruel decision to flaunt fur in public.
