Today’s BPAS interview comes from the largest mall in the world, the Mall of America. Bridget Jewell, MOA’s PR Coordinator, was kind enough to introduce herself, along with her partner in crime, Erica Dao, after my keynote at the Minneapolis PRSA, and offer me a guided tour. My ADHD shines through this interview like NEVER before. I mean, come on – It’s a giant indoor space, filled with MILLIONS of shiny things, EVERYWHERE you look. I’m amazed I was able to keep the camera on Bridget. Most of the time. Enjoy!

This was a treat – Thanks to Graham Gillette, at Gillette Strategic Resources, and a bunch of other truly amazing HARO family members, I was able to spend 20 minutes yesterday doing a Buy Peter a Sandwich interview with Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, discussing everything from social media to the digital divide to stealing ideas from Mayor Bloomberg. Thanks to all who helped set it up, and of course, thanks to Mayor Rybak! Hopped the red-eye to London last night for a handful of meetings today. Found Kevin Anderson at the Guardian. Kevin is a corn-fed mid-west boy, transplanted to London, running the Blogs at the Guardian. He talks about the differences between American and European social media, why some people just don’t get it, and of course, cats. Find more videos like this on PROpenMic And I don’t wanna hear about the camera shaking. I’ve been up for 29 hours now. Another interview later.

When I was down in Miami, I got a few minutes with Michael Cherenson, the President Elect of the Public Relations Society of America. We chatted about everything from why the PRSA is a valuable tool, to how to simply “not be stupid.” Worth the watch. Find more videos like this on PROpenMic

Welcome to the first edition of “Buy Peter a Sandwich” – Basically, when I’m in your city, meet me for lunch, we have a sandwich, then I ask you five questions, tape them on my FlipTV Camera, and post the results. They’re seen by over 10k people, and everyone has fun. (And I get a good sandwich.) And for what it’s worth, I usually pay for both sandwiches. I’m in NYC for the next week or two. Wanna buy me a sandwich and get interviewed? peter (at) shankman (dot) com. Our first guest: Heather DiRubba, a publicist with WNET Channel 13, as well as the head of the new professionals group of the PRSA NY.
