Take the Pledge.

I put my horrible body issues aside this month and was honored to be asked to participate in the Estee Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness Pledge Campaign.

Fact is, I like women. And breast cancer is a deadly disease that affects women. But: It affects all of us – moms, sisters, girlfriends, daughters – and the people who love them. And guess what – It’s not only limited to women – breast cancer strikes men, as well.

But more than that, I’ve seen what breast cancer can do to people I care about. And if that’s something that we can help prevent by encouraging early detection and the spread of information, to not do it is a crime. We all have a responsibility here. To ourselves. To those we love. To those we don’t know. To humanity.

So take the pledge. Help spread the word.

If I could do it, anyone can.

One of our oldest clients is a wonderful breast cancer awareness organization here in Alabama called the Joy to Life Foundation (www.joytolife.org). We handle their website, media, etc. but have never had to take off clothing in the line of duty! Way to go, Peter!

What a fabulously new and clever way to raise awareness for this extremely worthwhile cause! Hats off or should I say shirts off to you for unveiling and to Estee Lauder! Breast cancer affects woman in so many ways, including loss of hair. My client, internationally renowned celebrity wig designer Barry Hendrickson has been helping women faced with hair loss due to chemotherapy for several decades now. His new book “Looking Like You: A Step-By-Step Guide to Medical Hair Replacement” is truly inspirational in helping women restore their self-esteem and make them feel like themselves again.
