I am investigating a story for on the trend of people having "pet lettuce," along the lines of a pet rock. Pet lettuce owners will actually drag a head of lettuce around on a leash. If anyone has seen a pet lettuce owner or knows anything about how this fad began please contact me as soon as possible.

Yeah, saw that. I wondered how they were able to keep the leash on the lettuce. Does the lettuce wear a collar? A harness? Also, are we talking Iceberg? Romaine?
