What people will do for Neil Diamond tickets

Congrats to Michele Leiberman, who embarrassed herself in front of 21,000 people to get the extra Neil Diamond tickets for Sunday night’s concert in Philly. Be sure to watch to the end – It’s quite funny.

Enjoy the show, Michele!

That’s classic. She deserves to win. I’m curious… who was at the door?

If you ever needed testament to the power of video, this is the first comment I’ve left on your site after reading you regularly for a few months. It was great! The end was perfect, especially since she got SO into it by the end. : )

So there. Video is power.

Other than the obvious, what happened when someone knocked on the door?!?!? Did you get in trouble for singing too loudly? ;)

PS. You rocked, and totally deserve those tickets! Have fun!

Amazing. I am, uh, stunned. Oh, I just go to the end. Awesome.

I never liked Neil Diamond, but now, after seeing what Michele could do with his songs, I am a Believer!

Brilliant. I bet the person at the door was going to sign her to a record contract.

That is awesome! Way to win it!! I love the honest look of fear in her face. HA

Diamond was my very first concert. Dragged there by the parents, but he put on a good show.

Can we request Michele perform “Forever In Blue Jeans”?

Aww, I was really hoping to see what the person at the door was going to say. Hey, at least they knocked.
Michele, you rock. You totally deserve the tickets!!

Definitely awesome. Loved the swingin’ hair toward the end. Have a great time!! Hope you took whoever was at the door ;-)

Outstanding effort on the singing, but I think the chair dancing was what really set this apart. I know my children “LOVE IT” when I car boogie, so I’m sure this was an indication of how well Michele car boogies. Get that oldies station blaring at the stop sign…
Enjoy the concert and thanks for making my day!

I love the sincerity and knowing that there are a lot of years left in Neil’s career. I’ve loved him from the start!

Absolutely the best! She’s deserves to win. And thanks for the Friday afternoon levity.

I am just in shock that anyone under 50 knows all the words to that song! Congratulations to Michelle. Well deserved. And, Peter, you provide endless entertainment. Kudos to both!

Hi! Thanks for all of those great comments — I do still have my new job. As for who was at the door… it was my colleague Tisa, wondering what was going on that was so loud at 8 a.m. on a Friday morning (or maybe she just wanted to dance too).

Oh that was so cute! Congratulations Michele! Glad it was only a colleague and not too embarrassing! :) Have fun at the concert!!

A woman after my heart! Love Neil, love chair dancing and mostly the spirit behind dancing like no one is watching, on video! How was the concert?
